Payroll questions

Answers about getting started, changing providers, and running payroll with MVP.

Getting started

Plan your first payday with MVP or prepare to switch from another provider.

How do I get started?

Start with a conversation with Tyler. Tell him how many people you pay, where they work, and when you want to run payroll.

How soon can payroll start?

The first payday depends on when your bank funding and authorizations are ready and whether MVP needs payroll records from your previous provider. Share your target date with Tyler so he can confirm the schedule.

Can I switch during a quarter?

Yes. Agree on the last payday each provider will process and who will file the open returns. Print the switching checklist.

Running payroll

Visit Resources for deadlines, forms, and payroll calculators.

When are hours due?

For standard direct deposit, submit payroll by 5 p.m. Central, two banking days before payday. Check your specific deadline.

Where can an employee get pay stubs and W-2s?

Open employee sign-in and choose Employee Self-Service (ESS), or choose MyGo if your employer uses it. Contact your employer if you need an invitation.

How do I send forms or a payroll notice?

Use the contact form to ask Tyler for secure upload instructions. Have the agency, tax period, and reply date available.
